Oh that ain't the half of it:

I got the prosecutor for 8 municipalities fired because he told a state cop the wrong thing. He told the cop that he had no federal liability to my client for searching his car without a warrant.
When I filed in Federal court the NJ state police went to the municipalities and told them they didn't want that guy any more so they fired him

They get that kind of say so over who the prosecutors are. They want friendly ones

Same with Muni judges.
Muni Judges are hired and paid by the town The town has a financial interest in the costs of building and maintaining the courthouse. The judge has a conflict of interest right there. He has to produce income for the town fathers who are always cash strapped.

Worse, the judge and the prosecutor have the same boss - the town employs them both. That's another conflict of interest.

But the cream is the state police. They get a Veto over all municipal judge appointments. If they don't like the guy he can not be a judge,
And that is all the proof I need to see the muni judiciary in NJ as hopelessly biased and corrupt.

Write your reps. Demand change. Demand an unbiased municipal judiciary.

I call this structural corruption. It's a system that is built in such a way that it can not ever produce reliably unbiased judges.

What kills me about this whole situation is that you know this asshole hurt a lot of people from the bench. There's probably a long list of real victims out there who have been both financially and physically hurt by this guy. The arrogance to believe that, because you're politically connected enough to be a municipal court judge you can saunter around and do whatever you please.

They're talking about firing him and keeping him from being a judge again? You kidding me? Lose your job, but you can back to being a lawyer, just not a judge. What kind of punishment is that for these abuses?

Jail. Sit him next to the poor jerk-off he wrongfully threw in the can for three days for contempt. That's justice.
