    yeah, medical marijuana makes sense.

    In Britain, heroin is used in certain surgical procedures. Because it is less refined than morphine, it does better medically in some circumstances. But here we are so paranoid about drug problems that we don't allow its use medically, when it would help people.

    We seem to always be penny wise and pound foolish.

    I don't think using a tiny bit of heroin for medical use would change the amount of street drugs available.

    And I don't think use of medical marijuana would significantly change the amount of pot users. But, hey, it's America - common sense forbidden.
